Brandy Lynn (Handy) Robertson, 36 of South Sioux City passed away unexpectedly Friday, June 4, 2010 at her residence due to a seizure disorder. She was the daughter of Dave and Judy Miner of South Sioux City and Glen Handy of Sioux City, Iowa.
Services were 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home with Timothy Thomas officiating. Burial was in the Dakota City Cemetery. Visitation was held from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Becker-Hunt Funeral Home.
Brandy was born Jan. 18, 1974 in Sioux City. She graduated from South Sioux City High School in 1992. She married Joe M. Robertson on April 30, 1994 in South Sioux City.
She was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church.
Survivors include her husband, Joe; their two sons, Tyler and Kolby; a daughter Braelynn, all of South Sioux City; her mother, Jody (David) Minor of South Sioux City; her father, Glen Handy of Sioux City; a sister, Mary (Jeremy) Kleider of Dakota City; grandparents, Darrel and Mary Erickson of South Sioux City, and Norman and Marie Cain of Denim, LA; grandmother-in-law, Jacquelyn Robertson of Sioux City; aunts and uncles, Mary and Dusty Small of Sioux City, Carl "Skip" and Linda Sanlee of Norfolk, Neb., Kathy and Bill Pearson of South Sioux City, Rick Erickson of South Sioux City, Jerry and Kathy Nelson of Sioux City, Lisa and Wendy Wilson, Tina and Lawonna Cain, and Tommy Cox all of Louisiana, Robert Wilson of Hawaii; godmother, Paula Wagner of Salix, IA; nephew, Skyler Minor; and other nephews and nieces.
She was preceded in death by an infant son, Joseph David Robertson; godfather, Rodney Loomis; grandfather-in-law, Ted Robertson; grandmother, Opal Anderson; aunts, Norma Schoen, Deb Thomas and Alice Lundren; and an uncle, Mike Hansen.
Pallbearers were Tim Thomas, Michael Moore, Brian Ellinger, David Svoda, Brady Deemer, Josh "Gomes."
